EXPECT BEAUTY

Backyard purple blossoms just happen for us to enjoy. When I gaze on their extravagant beauty, I smile. Thoughts wander to the One who made them happen.

Feelings of gratitude and enjoyment cause a positive outlook filtering into my body cells through happy brain released hormones. Voila! My perspective brightens, the immune system becoming more robust, and physical/mental health is improving.

As His child, I expect His beauty in my life. As I gaze on creation, He brings beauty to even those things that have seemed to be ashes. This medicine is free, filled with life, and doesn’t require insurance.

He will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of despair. (NLT: Isaiah 61: 3)
