Dianna’s Dance

Dianna’s life peacefully danced into eternity yesterday at 3:15 PM. Her long-standing chronic lung problems (not Covid) could no longer support independent breathing.

Ventilator and drugs promoted comfort and breathing, but they couldn’t sustain her tired organs. It seemed God was calling her from the earthly chapter of her life to His presence in heaven.

Despite the grief and unwillingness to let go of her, the family, as one, agreed selflessly to have hospital staff take her off the ventilator. This was a difficult decision, but God’s peace, strength, and presence were so evident as tears were shed, stories were shared, and hugs were given.

I’m grateful God allowed me to be a part of Dianna’s life dance. To be in the presence of one who is about to be in the presence of God is a great privilege.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116: 15 – 16
