MIRACLES STILL HAPPEN

Once upon a time there was a 23 yearlong marriage filled with anger, blame, cursing and despair. But from the distressed lives of this man and woman came a beautiful daughter filled with faith, hope and love.

When the daughter turned 17, this strife filled marriage came to an end. The initial sense of peace and freedom was a great relief to the man, woman and daughter.

During the next 10 years, the man and woman found new mates. But still, there was a longing for reconciliation in the hearts of the man, woman and daughter. The possibility for greater understanding and forgiveness argued with the thoughts of rejection and failure.

Prayers for healing forgiveness, hope and blessing were prayed from the strength of the mind and eventually became heartfelt and sincere.

The daughter married and a beautiful daughter was born to her and her husband. The man and woman, along with their mates, were present in the hospital waiting room at the time of the granddaughter’s birth.

As they waited, tentative politeness was shown one another. The tension eased when all gathered in the hospital room of the daughter. The smiling granddaughter was passed from one to another. More supernatural healing took place.

Now, almost 4 years later, this group gathers for holiday events, birthday parties and hospital visits. Conversation is filled with laughter and gentle teasing. Texts are sent including thankfulness and encouragement for one another.

I’ve cared for and dressed many deep physical wounds that took months to heal. Dead, diseased and infected tissue had to be cut or chemically burned from the wound for the healthy tissue to multiply and fill the wound.

The client, loved ones and myself celebrated when the wound finally filled with the good and was covered over with healthy skin. Healing could only come through diligently removing what brought death to the wound. Then the wound could use what was nourishing and good to heal.

The miracle for this man, woman and daughter came by identifying the diseased thinking causing the anger, blame, cursing and despair. A choice was made to respect one another, forgive, bless and hope. Each took responsibility where needed and intentionally allowed the emotional wounds to be filled with what was good and healing.

The gatherings of this miracle family usually mark a holiday of some sort but more deeply celebrate the victory of emotional and spirit/heart healing. God heard the cries and answered with His fiery prescription for healing because He is a very good Father God.

The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.  The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.  The righteous face many troubles, but the LORD rescues them from each and every one. (NLT: Psalms 34: 17 – 19)

He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by his wounds! (NLT: 1 Peter 2: 24)
