War and Peace

Sitting by the horse pasture brought some unwanted self conflict. The day was beautiful and the horses were grazing in a relaxed fashion. Birds were chirping and breezes lightly blowing as I ate my lunch and enjoyed the view. My thoughts went to the 3D/4D ultrasound of my soon to be born grand baby. Her perfect rose-bud mouth, full head of dark hair and healthy looking cheeks. Beautiful and miraculous. I felt so thankful for all and very at peace. Then my thoughts went to those places of war – the U.S. border, Ukraine, Syria, Gaza, Israel, Iraq. I’m sure many more places could be added as we become more globally aware of our world neighbors. So much suffering, displacement and terror for those oppressed and persecuted. Then the thought came; I’m at peace and able to pray for God’s deliverance and peace for these people. I can be a good neighbor to them and ask the Almighty to expose and eliminate the evil and bring an end to the suffering for many. I did just that with the belief that my prayers were heard and my world neighbors would have a better day because I took time to pray. My peace returned and I thanked God for hearing and answering.
